Limera1n – iPhone OS4 Unlocking Tools !Apparently this year, the famous “Black drop” of Geohot turned into “Lemon green”. It seems that the infamous hacker is working on a new iPhone Jailbreak tool “Limera1n”. We do not know officially what the program will consist of but probably relates to unlock and jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 untethered, iPhone 4.0 firmware for all the iDevices like iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Geohot has not spoken a word about all this and we can not safely combine his paternity in this project, however, by the whois domain record for limera1n , we note that it is headed right for George Hotz, with all the information , address and email that perfectly match the data with which it was made out to blackra1n. It is being reported that the whois record shows that it was last updated on April 13, almost effectively the same date when Geohot jailbroken iPhone OS 4 successfully, almost proving the veracity of Limera1n tool.
For the moment we can not say much but certainly the young hacker will surprise us again. Whether or not limera1n, we expect the release of its tools immediately after launch of Apple’s 3G iPad (late May) or fourth-generation iPhone (late June).
